miraculous proof. The Tragedy of Power is a gritty, violent thriller. It's the first chapter of Lauren's story
and also the story of how the world reacts to her confounding existence. While Lauren is seemingly
burdened with divine purpose, her young life offers her no relief from the moral complexities her
abilities bring her way. She could become a hero, but right now she's just a child under immense

About the Author

Ian Withrow is a proud US Army veteran and author.

He hails from the small Midwestern town of Galesburg, Illinois and he finds time to write in-between his
many husbandly and military duties. The Midwestern US is a common setting for his work and
he will always consider it home.

Always a voracious reader, Ian wrote his first play during high school, where it had three sold-out
performances. He completed his first novel, "The Tragedy of Power," during an overseas deployment in
2016. "Apathetic God," the sequel, was released in December, 2018.

Most days, he can be found writing or hiking the myriad trails of rural America with his beautiful wife and
daughter.
