Overview

I enjoyed this book for its own sake so much that I stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish it. The story was gripping, and the allegories were chilling. Roger takes the unlikely hero through three disparate cultures, each with its own twist on the role of religion in public life. If you like Orson Scott Card or Brandon Sanderson, I think you'll like this book - Roger is a thinker with a creative itch.

My husband read this book to my 9, 11, and 14 year old children at bed-time for several weeks. THEY LOVED IT! My 11-year-old son's vocabulary increased to include many new words and actually applied the word "sphere" in a prayer. The suspense and drama was the good kind of scary griping my daughter's imigination. Several nights the kids pleaded for their daddy to "read more!" The message is good, and the story is facinating. Well worth the time to read it!

He believes that his lies and failures caused it. Guilt sends him on a journey to throw the object off the edge of the world. Thus begins a journey that will take Dornin not to the edge of the world, but to worlds beyond his own.
