The Ultimate Travel Packing Checklist

Overview

Proper preparation is necessary for a terrific vacation.
While this guide is meant as a quick read, it also makes for a printable list that you can take with you on your journey.
Download the original document in MS Word format and then add or delete items that you do or do not take with you. You can type in the quantity of the items that you are packing. Also, record model numbers, serial numbers, etc. of any electronics in the document.
You now have a printable, itemized list that you can take with you. This may be useful in case items are stolen or you have a curious border inspector. The list will prove valuable when it comes time to pack up from that quaint B&B or hotel. That way, you will not leave anything behind.
Email the list to yourself and/or leave it with a friend or family member back home in case you need a copy.
While some items are obvious, the process of packing is a ritual. Plan ahead and then embrace the journey that awaits.
