About the Author

MacKenzie and Doug were bitten by the travel bug at the very beginning of their marriage when they chose to have a small wedding and a big honeymoon. That 10-week adventure took them through western Europe. Thirty-five years later, they’ve visited 20 countries and 38 American states. They look upon every new destination as a chance to immerse themselves in another culture and an opportunity to share their experiences through their writing and photographs.

When they’re not traveling, Doug is often found perfecting his craft of making gourmet truffles and MacKenzie works equally as hard perfecting her craft as a taste tester. (Someone has to do it.)
