This collection of essays about the universe and what underlies everything we are made of originally appeared as a collection of essays on Edge.org. These essays cover cosmology, time, string theory, gravity, and more. They are read excellently by Danny Campbell, Anthony Ferguson, and Jo Anna Perrin. The difficult thing about this collection is identifying its audience. The work is intended for the educated layperson versed in the topic, but as an audiobook it is not easy to flip back to hear something again, quickly check another essay's comment on an issue being discussed, or verify another resource for information. Audiobooks also tend to be consumed in environments that may have other distractions and listeners will be unable to concentrate as hard on the topic at hand as they would wish. VERDICT While the work itself is very well done, this audiobook will primarily appeal to true cosmology and physics geeks.—Eric D. Albright, Tufts Univ. Health Sciences Lib., Boston
