K-Gr 2—These titles present the rudiments of U.S. government. On each spread, a few short sentences face a complementary full-color photograph or reproduction. The images reflect the general information delivered in the text. Most of them are not captioned and the politicians and judges are rarely identified. Overall, the snazzy, star-spangled design elements and the concise, accurate narratives combined with clear photos make these useful and attractive choices as elemental introductions to U.S. government.
