Born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, the notable birthplace of former President John F. Kennedy, Christopher J. McGourty is a proud graduate of Brookline High School (1986) and Northeastern University (1991). As a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing ice hockey and baseball during his high school years.
With a deep appreciation for the law and its significance across different states in the United States, he pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. His fascination with legal systems extended to international levels, understanding the differences between law-based criminal justice systems and those grounded in religious beliefs.
He felt compelled to attain expertise in cybersecurity, being well aware of advancements in technology shaping the retail industry. In 2021, at 52 years old, he earned his Master's Degree in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently residing in Norwood, Massachusetts, McGourty is no stranger to life's challenges.
Throughout his journey of overcoming depression and adversity, his undying passion for life and education has propelled him forward. McGourty’s greatest achievements include his professional success and loving family — particularly his daughters.
In 2012, Christopher McGourty established NAORCA – The National Anti-Organized Retail Crime Association. He went on to speak at the Axis Leadership Forum in Berlin, Germany, in 2016. As a dedicated teammate, colleague, friend, and human being, He finds motivation in positive solutions within an often unforgiving world.
