The New Kanzas Territory!! His mission is to help a young slave girl named Matilda escape and reunite her with her folks who wait for her in Canada. Auggies young life is spared yet again when the man 'with the crazy blood red eyes' runs his saber thru the bounty hunter with his sights set on Auggie. The meadowlarks sing as Auggie contemplates what the future might bring as he sits with his father and they discuss the troubles that lie ahead. Then he realizes it doesn't matter because he's got his family and he's got Kanzas!

About the Author

Jayhawk fan for life! Michael was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. It was only in 1977, when he joined the Marine Corps that he realized just how much he missed his family and how much this historic place meant to him. It was in the Marines that he learned four words to live by - God, Family, Corps, Country. He now works for Delta Airlines where he has been employed for the past 23 years as an Aircraft Technician. It was during this time that he began his writing experience.
