AUG/SEP 99 - AudioFile

THE WESTING GAME is a sly murder mystery. (Puzzle might be a better word--there's really only cartoon grisliness in this book.) Woodman's youthful voice and energetic delivery fit it perfectly. Expertly, he distinguishes at least a dozen principals of wildly varying age, class and ethnicity, avoiding the annoying falsetto that many male readers use to portray women and children. It's a great performance. S.P. © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
