Overview

Why is the World Turned Upside Down?

In our nation, where once scholars roamed the halls of academia, we now have socialists, anarchists, and even avowed terrorists donning professor's robes....Where people were once innocent until proven guilty, they are now found to be guilty, despite their innocence, by the prosecutorial mainstream media and in the court of public opinion....Where the anti-establishment of the 1960s and '70s have now become the establishment of the past three decades....Where once policemen and servicemen were revered and honored and criminals, thugs, and enemies were reviled and abhorred, now the reverse is true....Where we now have people who kneel during the playing of our national anthem, yet fewer and fewer people are kneeling in prayer in our houses of worship....Where once the Judeo-Christian principles on which our nation was founded were valued and protected, our principles are being demeaned and attacked. Is this not the world turned upside down?

About the Author

Larry Cavender is what President Donald Trump would refer to as “a forgotten man.” He is also one of Hillary Clinton’s “Deplorables” and one of Barack Obama’s “Clingers” who holds on to his religion and guns.
He is a retired high school English teacher of thirty years; a veteran, who retired as a Technical Sergeant from the Air Force Reserves after 24 years; and, for thirteen years early in his lifetime, he was a radio broadcast journalist for several metropolitan Atlanta radio stations. He currently is a part-time news reporter and features writer for his local hometown newspaper and the author of two books of
local history.
He has, in his own words, “led a pretty unremarkable life.” So what qualifies him to write this book and for what reason would anyone want to read it? It is simply because he is, in fact, not famous, nor a pundit, nor a celebrity, nor a best-selling author. It is because he is “forgotten” and writes from the perspective of so many other Americans who may also be forgotten, or a deplorable, or a clinger.
If you are a forgotten American, then you will surely be able to relate to his reasoning as to why the world has turned upside down.
