This is an appealing nonfiction series covering the earth’s natural disasters. Each describes how the disaster is ranked, categorized or recognized. The main content of the books is a focus on disasters of epic proportion. The vignettes feature photos or images depicting the event along with date, location and ranking, magnitude, or type of disaster. Each title also features a “Living with....” section providing advice, tips, and information pertaining to the realities of experiencing or being prepared for each disaster. The eye-catching photos and colorful pages provide additional appeal to an already interesting topic. Recommended.
