Overview

One quick look at the news and we know without doubt our nation is in turmoil. Violence so permeates every setting of our lives there is seemingly no escape.

Thin Lines is a book that blends essays and poetry to explore the political landscape in America. Our current adversarial politics are tearing apart the fabric of the nation - brother against brother, parents against children and friend against against friend. Told from the view and experiences of one ordinary citizen.

Extremist factions who have taken over the political system have fueled hatred for our fellow citizens for their own self-serving gain.

This volume explores our movement from 9/11 unity to our current political descent into the climate of division that has us teetering on the edge of second civil war. We have been lead to the brink by men and women in positions of power who do not care about the needs of ordinary Americans.

Wider themes and imagery of the End Times, the dark past of atrocities and human rights violations, come together to create a picture of a nation that is seemingly on the precipice of implosion. Forget making America Great Again and Building Back Better- let's figure out a way to find unity again before it is too late.
