Overview

This May Hurt A Little short story collection wants to grasp onto your heartstrings and it may bring about a slight tear. No one craves heartbreak or prejudice living on their backdoor steps. "Father Cry" expresses an all too intimate tale of a father and son's ruptured relationship. Curtis ends up taking care of the one person he never wanted to be. What is he to do? Can Carlton forgive his father's absence? Or how about we tiptoe into the world of a seventeen-year-old named Taylor Briggs in the story, "Three-Face". Taylor knows she needs the guidance, but what can she do when her mind and body become a little too crowded?
Ruth's skin color dooms her before she ever had a say and, of course, we all make mistakes like Chizoba. She just wanted to have another chance to save earth in the sci-fi story, "The Art of Losing, Chizoba". This May Hurt A Little pours into the prohibition of fierce communal criticism in the fictional story "Death of Society", to amusement in the tale "Kiss and Tell", and more.
