About the Author

Fifteen year-old Casey Conte comes from a big family. She has grown up dealing with anxiety, anorexia, and depression due to family problems and self-acceptance issues related to body image. Currently in high school, she struggles with being able to stay in class, and spends most of her time working. At home she has turned her hobbies into frequent activities to help her keep busy and motivated, surrounding herself with tasks that keep her occupied in order to stay sane. That's where her poetry comes in. The goal of this collection was to put together words and images of the thoughts many young people have every day.
