Overview

Caroline Curtis is an avid horticulturist, who is injured during the restoration of a local country estate. She wakes in a familiar body, but a different time, and with mixed memories of her twenty-first century life and those of a seventeenth century lady, which causes difficult conflicts not only in herself but the people around her.
The first English civil war is over, and the king is deposed. The Prince of Wales is fleeing the country, and as Caroline fights to change the future of the man with whom she has fallen in love, she begins to realise that time is not a straight line.

About the Author

Victoria Short was born in Epping and raised in Loughton, Essex. She now lives in Suffolk with her husband and two teenage children .
In-between writing she works in the film industry making stories for the screen.

I loved this book, the story flowed well and was full of energy and had great historical
moments woven through it. The depth of the characters came through well enough that
you could ascertain their personalities, I actually pulled an all-nighter to finish it, couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed this story and once I got into it I couldn't put it down.
The story flowed and was so easy to get buried in. The characters were all so strong
and intertwined so effortlessly with the past and modern day.
I can't wait to read another story by this author, well done. 5 stars
