Time Race was inspired by the books Loot and Steal written by Judy Watson. Time Race will introduce the reader to three main characters, Jackson, Jacob, and Ruby. Their main goal within the book is to live their own life, given they have been living in an orphanage for the majority of their lives. They all three have similar backgrounds in the area of stealing/heists. With the main characters being kids and setting their goals so high illegally, they will face challenges and problems they must solve to create the lives they wanna live. Other characters will be introduced to help aid them along the way, such as Rai, a family friend of Jackson, Jackson's dad, and a villain by the name of Aero. Time Race is meant to be a short book to leave the door open for upcoming sequels to continue the story through the eyes of other characters to fully understand and indulge as a reader what the characters are going through and what they are feeling.
