About the Author

Federico Navarrete is a Salvadoran innovator and traveler on a quest to create a better world through technology. He has lived in four countries, including El Salvador, the United States, Spain, and Poland, and has traveled to over 20 countries. A journey that taught him cultural intelligence.

His professional career is around IT, and he has taken part and reached the finals in multiple innovation contests, including the SpaceApps Challenge 2014, Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016, the Cisco Switch-Up Challenge 2016, the D&I Hackathon 2020, and the Citython 2021 Eindhoven Edition.

Federico is also an expert storyteller and elevator pitcher with over 10 years of experience. He developed his public speaking skills by performing elevator pitches in front of multiple audiences, including representatives from Cisco and Microsoft. Furthermore, he has taken part in and organized several events and workshops at Toastmasters International.

One of Federico's main motivations is to change his home country's (El Salvador) global perspective. He led this initiative by creating the first series of Salvadoran folkloric books in English, called Timeless Stories of El Salvador. Each book contains 31 stories shared orally for hundreds of years.

Federico believes that everyone should be their own heroes and encourages everybody to be their own ones.
