Overview

The Patterns of Oppression tells the story of a psychologist named Jennifer Davis, coming to grips with the reality of systemic oppression after meeting Isaiah Turner, a black Uber driver. During their encounter, she experiences the dangers of deep-rooted racism; the #1 American killer. The story takes place in the upper Midwest during the summer of 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic. A time in history where millions of Americans are forced to witness the civil unrest taking place in the country. With the Black Lives Matter movement being widely relevant, hate crimes are on the rise, and Jennifer experiences the worst kind--at the hands of her fiance, Robert. This event changes her life drastically, and she feels obligated to make an extremely risky decision. But will her decision be beneficial enough to bring justice to those who deserve it?
