Delta's Tranquil Moods: Dream Suite features contemporary electronic instrumentals by Richard Souther. Souther mixes heavy, elastic basslines, warm synth pads, and world music-inspired percussion sounds on pieces like "Eye of the Needle" and "Highlands" while the title track, "On the Third Day," and "Bid Time Return" have a gentler, more ethereal sound. "Heartcall" and "Nightseasons" are some of the album's other highlights. While some of the tracks sound a little dated and generic, for the most part Tranquil Moods: Dream Suite delivers suitably mellow, dreamy new age music. ~ Heather Phares
