Tread Softly In My Head

A woman has gone missing and the police have a suspect. They call on the services of Dr Catherine Paradine, a young psychologist, to question him. She has the singular virtue of being a telepath with a native ability to read and project emotion. It seems, therefore, that obtaining the information the police require should be fairly simple. Presumably?
In pursuing the case, she is plunged into a criminal world, fraught with jeopardy, where the limits of her endurance and ethical integrity are repeatedly tested. Will she discover the location of the missing woman in time to save her? Can she come through her own ordeal unscathed?
When she is confronted by a spectre from her past, she finds herself sucked deep into a mind seething with self loathing and hatred; a mind intent on only one thing: Revenge.
