TRES REDADAS is a bilingual play written in both languages (Spanish and English). Its design to reflect the reality, the culture and the lifestyle of the characters presented in the play. It shows how undocumented immigrants lived inside the state of California after residing in Los Angeles for more than twenty or thirty years. Their status places them in a situation where they have lived under constant vigilance and the threat of the Immigration authorities, ICE. The play revolves around the Ramirez family who are getting ready to go To work at Clothing International Corp., located in the city of Van Nuys, a suburb of Los Angeles. As they gather to have breakfast, the Ramirez cant imagine that their fate is going to radically change by the end of that same day. The circumstances and events taking place at their workplace will force them to be subjected to a raid by ICE. Tres Redadas is a theatrical play that tries to show the drama that afflicts the undocumented when they are subjected to extortion by rude individuals, as well as the abuse committed against them when their rights are denied after being arrested, remanded and eventually deported without any remedy at times.
