Trials of Destiny
Shelby Evans, an accomplished journalist in the Metropolitan area of Chicago, convinced that to achieve her goals of safety and appreciation for lasting values, relocates to rural Kentucky. After accepting a position as assistant editor of the local paper, she stumbles into the lives of evildoers after her truck plunges into a ditch along a country road. Shelby, forced to escape through an uncultivated forest, spends the night terrified among wild animals. Led by an empyrean experience to a magnificent farm, she develops friendships with the occupants and believes she has found the man of her dreams. However, with hidden secrets destined to become exposed, scheming and plotting by local misfits to silence her, and misguided by a misprint in a National magazine, she discovers it is too late concerning her love interest. She begins to concentrate more diligently on her career. Shelby's sudden and unexpected visit to the haven with strangers will inherit dangers, conflicts, and last longer than she or anyone had anticipated. Barbara Sullivan-Nelson is a native of Middletown, Ohio, and currently a resident of Kentucky. She is the author of several inspirational articles, two fiction novels, and an inspiring true story of spirit, compassion, and optimism of the disabled titled Ryan's World, published in 2011.
