About the Author

Steve Chandler and Terrence N. Hill have been writers all their lives. This book is the third in a series that began with the critically acclaimed Two Guys Read Moby Dick, followed by the popular Two Guys Read the Obituaries and Two Guys Read Jane Austen.
Chandler has written and co-written over a dozen books, including the bestseller, Fearless. He is a professional business coach and corporate trainer whose previous books have been translated into over 20 languages. Terrence Hill worked for more than 30 years in advertising beginning as a copywriter and later running agencies in New York and Europe. He has published poetry, essays and short fiction and was the writer for two CBC-TV (Canada) documentary series. I always wonder what the two guys will come up with as a primary topic for their books. And, while I have no appreciation for the intricacies of baseball, nor any understanding of its historical place in American culture, I loved this one. I had a great time going back and visiting Steve and Terry, two dear old pals whose correspondence with each other is fun, funny and just a joy to peek in on. I've found all the two guys books a joy to read, and this one is no exception.

Pretty amazing stuff, turning stream of consciousness and the comfort of inside jokes and familiarity into entertainment for others. But in a world where bloggers believe their internal voices are interesting enough to share, these guys actually pull it off. And with all due respect, FINALLY they hit upon a topic that I truly love! This is a great read start to finish, and confirms my belief that most if not all of the important lessons I learned in life, I learned through sports.
