About the Author

Kevin Lee Luthier was born in Renton Washington and spent the first few years of his life playing on the shores of Puget Sound and among the evergreens. While on his way to becoming a concert violinist, Kevin traded his full-time sponsor, two Stradivari’s and the finest teachers for his beautiful wife, Sheryl, and later three children.
He began carving violins in his grandfather’s cabinet shop and in 1999 became recognized as the highest appraised Master Luthier in over 250 years. He now enjoys performing passionate music on his own master creations and loves bringing the legends of music and master violins back to life with his books.
