Overview

Ellen Brinson, unemployed librarian, is desperate for money. She sends an incomplete manuscript to Henry Morgan, a literary agent whose top selling authoress has ceased to write.

The two are drawn together at first by the need for cash, but as time goes on their agendas go in different directions. Something strange is going on because the manuscript insists on being written, with or without Ellen's permission. In the end, both parties get what they thought they wanted, but in ways they didn't expect.

You'll never guess the ending in this suspenseful tale which readers have called 'riveting' and a 'must read'.
