About the Author

Roxanna's love of nature began in Bandon, Oregon, where she was born and raised. As a young girl, she preferred climbing trees to playing indoors. She was especially fond of a backyard tree where she had a view of the ocean. From that vantage point she developed a curiosity of and a love for birds. Into adulthood Roxanna’s passion for the avian world grew as she incorporated basic ornithology into her children’s homeschool curriculum. Always eager to share her enthusiasm with others, in 2012 Roxanna created a Facebook community Bird Watching in Oregon (BWiO) where she shares her knowledge with beginning birders as she continues to learn from the experts. For many years it has been her vision to create a publication of unique bird photographs and Roxanna hopes this collection will provide you with many hours of "Uncomplicated Joy."
