Overview

Undercurrent is a powerful story of perseverance. Annie Black is an equine surgeon who escapes the clutches of her narcissistic husband. Even with Annie's professional successes, she has difficulty overcoming her low self-esteem and fully separating herself and her daughter from the man who is terrorizing them. When Annie performs surgery on Patricia Hart's champion thoroughbred, a unique friendship is formed as they help each other confront and overcome their past traumas. Horse lovers and anyone interested in the healing power of horses will love this book.

It is said that broken bones heal faster than emotional abuse--which does something much worse--it breaks your spirit. If Undercurrent raises awareness and lifts up just one victim of narcissistic abuse, the author will consider her book a success.
