About the Author

Patrick Sookhdeo, PhD, DD is a widely acknowledged authority on Islam and acts as a consultant to government, business and the media. He is Director of the Institute for the Study of Islam and Christianity, International Director of Barnabas Fund, Executive Director of the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life, and President of the Westminster Institue, Washington DC. He gained his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and ha also been awarded doctorates from Western Seminary, Oregon, for work on pluralism and from Nashotah House Theological Seminary, Wisconsin, for work on human rights and religious liberty. He is also Dean Theologian of the Anglican Church of Nigeria and Cor Episcopos of the Syriac Orthodox Church. Dr Sookhdeo is a Research Associate in the Department of Religion Studies at the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and has taught and lectured at many academic institutions around the world. He is the author/editor of 35 books.
