Overview

Understanding and abiding in "the fear of the Lord," is an essential kingdom concept and is beneficial for both the believer and the unbeliever alike. However, over the years, man has come up with several vain philosophies either to explain away or to justify what this phrase means.

"The fear of the Lord," is not a scary thing or an emotional feeling towards God, for even Jesus, in His earthly ministry operated under the concept of "the fear of the Lord", Isaiah 11:1-3.

The book first walks you through what the scriptures say, showing you how the Bible defines "the fear of the Lord.". For the definition of "the fear of the Lord," is simply to hate evil, Proverbs 8:13, or we could also say it is to hate what God hates (unrighteousness) and to love what God loves (righteousness and walking in the light).

Then to give this teaching a practical application, of how we can position ourselves to abide in "the fear of the Lord." We take a look at how scripture defines what evil is. This nicely comes together and gives further understanding on how we can make it happen and began to walk in "the fear of the Lord."
