About the Author

Alan Marshall II is a skilled public speaker who provides leadership development through conferences, workshops, and small group settings nationally and internationally. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry, a Master’s in Organizational Leadership, and ordination as a Reverend, Alan merges his ministry and leadership skills to develop the next generation of leaders.
Alan is also a visionary, strategist, and consultant who is passionate about developing Millennial and Gen Z leaders. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Upward Solutions, Alan has led teams to secure multiple multi-million dollar tax abatements and is known for designing a historic set-aside for minority contractors in the state of Connecticut. In his tenure as a consultant, Alan has been instrumental in his work on projects that have provided a total economic impact of over $1.5 billion and secured millions in capital for minority contractors.
It is not an understatement to say that Alan loves to volunteer by leading and assisting in various ministry capacities. Alan has served as the Director of Communications on the Board of Directors at Connecticut Christian Academy, Vice President of Noble and Unique Generation, a Youth Leader at Shiloh Christian Church, Campus Minister at Wesleyan University, Interim Regional Black Campus Ministry Coordinator at Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and on multiple missions globally.
