Vintage Horror Comics : Forbidden Worlds Issue No. 13 Circa 1953
We are excited to introduce you to one of many new/old incredibly illustrated horror comics from the Golden Age of the genre. It's fitting that we publish "Forbidden Worlds" Issue No. 13.

This vintage, terror masterpiece is not only built on a foundation of good stories, good plots, great characters and horrific creatures, it is also a beautiful work of retro art.

Here's some background on its creation and its creator:

Forbidden Worlds was a 52-page comic with the initial subtitle "Exploring the Supernatural!", which debuted in October 1951.

Due to pressure from the 1954 Senate subcommittee hearings on the dangers of comic books, the comic changed its title (and focus) to Young Heroes from March 1955 - June/July 1955 (publishing issues #35–37). However, in Aug. 1955, Forbidden Worlds reappeared with (another) issue #35 and the altered subtitle "Stories of Strange Adventure".

This 36-page work includes the following illustrated horror gems:

1. Invasion from Hades
2. The Subway Spectres
3. The Man Who Knew All
4. The Thing Called Dharna
5. Wings of Darkness

Important please read:

This comic is an e-pub document and works ideally with the Color Nook and many other handheld devices. You can read it on a regular black-and-White Nook, but some of the bottom may be clipped; however, you can make adjustments on your Nook to get the optimal experience. This is also true with the color Nook. You should carefully adjust your settings so you can enjoy the full quality of this e-book.

Again, it is with much pride we reintroduce to the world "Forbidden Worlds."
