Description:This book presents a comprehensive visual physical exam with 14 chapters of pictures and text to describe abnormalities of physical findings in children.
Purpose:Approaches, key points in the history, and key points in the physical exam are presented to help practitioners make a diagnosis based on the physical exam and oral history. These are worthy objectives and the visuals are a great aid for practitioners.
Audience:This book will be very instructive for nursing and medical students, residents, and practitioners in pediatrics at any stage in their careers.
Features:Each chapter presents an organized approach to the problem, key points in obtaining the history, and physical examination. This is followed by a differential diagnosis table with ICD-9 diagnosis numbers, distinguishing characteristics, associated findings, complications, and predisposing factors.
