About the Author

Sharman Jean Burson Ramsey and Dr. Sylvia Jane Burson Rushing live in Dothan, Alabama. Dr. Rushing practices cardiology with Cardiology Associates at Dothan Specialty Clinic. She attended Sophie Newcomb College, where she was a member of Phi Mu social sorority, numerous professional organizations. She received her medical degree from Tulane Medical School where she also did her fellowship in Internal Medicine and an Internship in Cardiovascular Disease.

Sharman Burson Ramsey received her BSE from the University of Alabama where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and earned her MSE from Troy University. She is the author of a series of historical novels published by Mercer University Press (Swimming with Serpents and In Pursuit) and the Mint Julep Mysteries that take place on a plantation inspired by Wakefield.
