Randé Dorn is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, professor, choreographer, and former Artistic Director of Dorn Dance Company. Randé received her MA in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. Much of her therapeutic and creative work stems from her curiosity and obsession with love and intimate relationships. Randé specializes in working with creatives of Color who are searching for the ever-elusive balance between the personal and the professional. As a choreographer, her work is distinct for its idiosyncratic movement vocabulary, storytelling, and stagecraft. Much of her exploration is based in her personal experience as a Black, female artist and mother. Her work strives to reflect the multitude of personal interactions that make up the human condition, including our contradictory nature, our capacity to love, and the fragility of our experience. Randé currently lives in Los Angeles with her two children Marco and Camille.
