Overview

Warren Goes to Grandpa's is a compilation of three generations of love, caring, working hard, and enjoying
the fruits of your labor as a family on Grandpa's farm. I sincerely hope that in reading Warren Goes to Grandpa's I captured a special moment in time for you and that you will be inspired to revisit your childhood and share it with someone you love.
To young readers, this book was written especially for you. Warren invites you to
rise and shine and take a trip with him. Warren takes you on a ride through corn fields and tobacco fields. He names and feeds the chickens. Along the way, you will meet Billy the mule and ride with Warren
on his granddad's big tractor. We are going to have the best time ever at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Dear parents,
As a parent and grandparent of three beautiful granddaughters, I
know firsthand the importance of early exposure to reading. I also
know through my work as president of the Trenton Literacy Movement, that
the role of parents is critical to exposing children to the joy and love of reading at a very early age.
This joy of reading begins with early exposure in a child's development by reading picture books and laying the foundation early on for acquiring essential communications, computer, and technology skills. The National Institute for Literacy identifies reading "as a gateway to future success in school and in life."
It is my hope that you will find this picture book an enjoyable read and that you will share it with your entire family.
"If you want to inspire the next generation, you must first meet them, reach them, teach them from where they are and only then can you take them to new adventures and new destinations. The joy of reading is the first step in this journey toward new adventures and new destinations."
