About the Author

Ismee Williams is a former pediatric cardiologist at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. As the daughter of a Cuban immigrant, partially raised by her abuelos, her background helped her understand the many Maris she met along the way. Water in May is her first novel.

Hannah Carmona is a Latinx American audiobook narrator of nearly two dozen titles. She started out as a stage actor with a BA in theater from Western Kentucky University. She has a passion for stories and characters, and her vocal training provides versatility across various genres and age ranges. She is an avid reader and writer herself, with a passion for storytelling. Hannah lives in Tennessee with her two daughters and dog who thinks he's a cat.
