About the Author

Michael Brian Schiffer is an anthropologist, archaeologist, and historian of technology. Currently he is the Fred A. Riecker Distinguished Professor of Anthropology emeritus at the University of Arizona. Schiffer has written more than a dozen scholarly books and 10 mystery novels, many co-authored with his wife, Annette Schiffer. The Schiffers enjoy travel, visiting their grandchildren, and taking walks in Virginia’s many fine parks.
