About the Author

Laura Hughes is an exciting young Hastings-based illustrator. Originally from Bath, she studied illustration at Kingston University and, since graduating, she has created artwork for children's books, cards, stationery and homeware. We're Going on an Egg Hunt was Laura's first book for Bloomsbury, and is followed by We're Going on an Elf Chase, We're Going on a Treasure Hunt and Hop Little Bunnies.

Martha Mumford has loved children's books forever. Her mother was a librarian, which gave her access to a wonderful array of books from a very early age. She has written eight picture books for Bloomsbury, including four illustrated by Laura Hughes. Martha lives in Berkshire with her husband and young daughters.
Martha Mumford has loved children's books forever. Shhh! Don't Wake the Royal Baby is her first children's picture book and she is delighted to be working with Bloomsbury. Martha loves baking, patchwork and has a mild obsession with interiors magazines (although she freely admits that the ideas she has found therein have yet to be translated to the interior of her own home!).
