The West Highland White Terrier, or "Westie" as he is affectionately called, is a small dog with a big attitude. This loyal and independent terrier is ranked #34 in dog registrations by the American Kennel Club (AKC ). The breed was originally used to hunt vermin but today enjoys participating in various activities and enjoying the company of their humans.
