Overview

This historical biography is a forgotten chapter in the drama of Republican China of the 1920s and 1930s.  It recounts the story of EUGENE CHEN, an overseas Chinese lawyer, who rose from diaspora obscurity to China's diplomatic and political hieghts in the Nationalist period.  From son of Chinese immigrants in a remote British island colony in the Americas, he rose to become one of Republican China's foremost progressive figures and someone whose memory is still revered in the China of today.
