There are examples of plants and creatures that are single colors (tomatoes), two-toned (butterflies), and multicolored (parrots). The second half of the book features a guessing game. Under each photograph is a question; for example, "What's the color of this salamander?" The verso offers the answer. Most of the photographs are large and display glorious hues and clear, close-up pictures of smiling children of different ethnic backgrounds.
