About the Author

Ray Glier is a freelance journalist who contributes to such publications as the New York Times, USA Today, MSNBC, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Miami Herald, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. He is the former executive sports editor of the Knoxville Journal. He lives in the Atlanta area. Pat Dye is a retired head football coach and athletic director for Auburn University, and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He was named the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year four times, as well as National Coach of the Year in 1983. He lives near Notasulga, Alabama.
