What to do when Daddy's not home
Back of the Book
Growing up I was ashamed to say I grew up without my birth father. I used to believe people would misjudge me, think I was a hood rat or a nobody that would eventually be another statistic, but I'm not. Now that I am a woman I don't care what people think of me. My dreams are so much bigger than what people perceive me to be. When I get done they will say she is very ambitious something my grandmother called me before I accomplished all my goals. Everything I want to have I will. Everything I want to do I will do. Everything I want to be I will be. I will take every respectful chance to follow my dreams. This book consists of different stories my friends told me during interviews about their lives and how they used the absences of their fathers as their motivation for success. I asked this question in particular because I have to answer it all the time. I wanted to tell more than one story so I can help people who are experiencing the same things. This is the woman I am, the woman who knows exactly what to do when daddy's not home.
I went to college fresh out of high school and pursued my degrees. My ultimate goal is to become a lawyer and retire as a college professor. I am currently teaching Elementary School and going to Law School in the fall of 2015. I will continue to inspire others with my foundation by giving away four scholarships each year. Writing this book is one of the dreams I made come true. I hope this book reaches the highest heights in places I never imagined.
