About the Author

Leslie is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a second board certification as a Primary Mental Health Specialist. She received her bachelor’s in nursing from The Florida State University and her master’s degree from the University of South Florida. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in all areas of Pediatrics, including the Emergency Room and Intensive care units. Her experience as a Nurse Practitioner includes both Primary Care and Pediatric Neurology. She currently works as a Pediatric Neurology Nurse Practitioner with a Board Certified Epileptologist in Central Florida. Leslie been working with children for close to 30 years. Nothing makes her happier than helping children grow up understanding what is happening to them and their bodies.
