About the Author

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, my parents separated when I was seven years old. Growing up in the ‘80s by a single parent who was a victim of child abuse was traumatic. I grew up believing there was no God, or if there was, He didn’t love me.
I didn’t realize it then, but God had never left me; I just never sought him out before. I was ?lled with anger and bitterness due to an abusive childhood, two failed marriages, and couldn’t hold a job for long – my life was a mess.
Later in life, I heard a voice in my head, which was more like a whisper, telling me to move to a di?erent city. I didn’t have money saved, I didn’t know anyone in this new city and did not have any kind of plan, but I was convinced that everything would work out.
What do I do now? It was apparent that God wanted me to do this, but why? I was a nobody – going nowhere. As I look back on my life now, I realize that everyone in the bible that God had used in extraordinary ways was also “a nobody, going nowhere!”
Two years later, I became friends with a man who showed me what it meant to be a Christian... it’s all about love! Later, I discovered having Christian friends to support you is, in many ways, better than having non-Christian friends or non-Christian family.
Every time I “stepped out” of my comfort zone and followed God’s direction, I didn’t know what to expect but obeyed anyway. What I found out not only increased my knowledge about God but permanently won my love for him. My life will never be the same again – and I couldn’t be happier He saved me!
