About the Author

Melinda Lott has had a passion for art since she was little and got her first box of Crayola’s (64’s with the sharpener), which inspired her to go on to earn a BA in graphic design and pursue a career in marketing and communications. Although she still loves crayons, she finds watercolors especially magical. She became inspired to write and illustrate children’s books because she saw an opportunity to share beautiful, traditional art and animals with children. She is a blessed wife and mother who lives in New Hampshire but escapes to Shelter Island, NY in the summer for as long as she can.
