Overview

Wildfire Kitty is a true story written after the Colorado wildfires of 2020 when the author's home was threatened by two separate wildfires. The story is inspired by a comment which supposed that in reality, Kit was probably unaware of any danger, enjoying the peace and quiet cats love best. Written in whimsical verse, this story shines a light on human fears that cause unnecessary suffering, illustrating that often our fears are only that and no more.

About the Author

My books are written for all audiences. Although classified as 'children's books,' the messages and questions are profound even for adults. These enduring topics of humanity are simplified for any reader to grasp, yet multi-layered in their meanings. Behind the simple questions lie philosophical meanings. Whether surrender and greed, or fear of the unknown, I attempt to approach the questions of life in easily digestible stories.
