Overview

In a by-gone time the phrase "take to the wood shed" meant someone was in trouble, almost always a family member, and needed to be reconded with.  However, my own "Wood Shed" is a place where imagination and creativity thrive.  Words By The Wood Carver's Hands:  Stories From The Bright Side Of The Woodshed is a mix of humor and reflection about family, friends, pets, life transitions and a memorial honoring our veterans. Illustrations of wood carvings by the author that are used to introduce and highlight the stories.   Some carvings inspired a story.  At other times a story inspired a particular carving.  I invite you to step inside my "Wood Shed" and take a look around.  You may just find something that looks and sounds pleasantly familiar.  I hope so.

Retired. Happily Married to my fantastic wife, Suzannne (25 years come this spring) 3 children, 7 grandchildren.  Marine Corps veteran.    Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in late 2016.  I now spend my time writing, wood crafts and tending to my vegetable garden.  Additionally, I have two very spoiled pups to keep happy.  This is my first book.
