Overview

A new twist on WWII thrillers.
Set in 1942, at the height of the war, the world holds its collective breath to see who will win – the Axis, or the Allies.
British author and Royal Air Force officer Robert Lassen infuses history with the supernatural in a story dripping with hidden culture and legend.

Don’t call them Vampires.
1942. The Allied bomber offensive against the Nazis teeters on the brink of failure. Night after night, fanatical German fighter pilots cut a bloody swathe through the British airmen struggling to cripple Hitler's war machine. In desperation, the Government turns to an ultra-secretive organization known only as K Department.
Their answer? A group of Eastern European refugees with a blood feud against the Nazis. Pale killers with a condition that allows them to hunt at night but forces them to flee the dawn. Myth has made them monsters. The truth is far more complicated.
The world labels them Vampires.
They call themselves Mullo.

About the Author

Having terrorised his parents and teachers throughout his school years in England with offbeat, often twisted short stories, Robert Lassen graduated from university with his first full-length manuscript in hand, determined to embrace the life of a novelist-at-large. Instead, fate chose a different path for him. A childhood love of aircraft, particularly the Spitfire and the Mosquito that contributed so much to the defeat of Hitler, merged with a desire to serve his country. That combination led him directly to the Armed Forces Careers Office, his writing ambitions put on hold.
Now eleven years into his career as an officer in Britain’s Royal Air Force, a period of time that includes two all-expenses paid trips to Iraq on Her Majesty’s Service, Lassen has never forgotten his original dream…
Lassen is married to a wonderful, supportive American beauty, and is the father of two staggeringly amazing children. Wrathful Skies is his debut published novel, the first in a trilogy that forms part of an open-ended series, set during the darkest depths of the Second World War, when the end truly justified the means and no weapon was beyond consideration, no matter how sinister.
