About the Author

Susan M. Leist is Professor of English at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has more than 25 years of experience teaching, primarily in higher education settings, and has been recognized with numerous teaching excellence awards. She is the author of Writing to Teach; Writing to Learn in Higher Education also from the University Press of America. Pamila Marchewka-Cornwell is a high school English teacher in New York State. She has taught all levels of high school English including Advanced Placement, electives, and academic intervention; and has helped develop curriculum standards for K-12 English Departments. She earned her M.S. in Secondary English Education from the State University College at Buffalo.
